This policy explains what personal information OiLilin collects when you shop with us, how we use it and how to reach us about it. We follow Malaysia's Personal Data Protection Act 2010.
Who we are

What we collect
- Your name, email address, phone number and delivery address, which you give us at checkout.
- The items you ordered, the order total and whether payment went through.
- Your email address, if you join our mailing list on the home page.
- Basic information about how you use this website, such as the pages you view, the items you add to your bag and whether you complete an order. We collect this with the Meta Pixel so we can measure our Instagram and Facebook ads. It does not include your card details.
- Anything you send us when you contact us, for example by email or WhatsApp.
We do not see or store your card number or online banking details. Payments are handled on the secure page of our payment provider.
How we use it
- To process, pack, ship and track your order.
- To contact you about your order or answer your questions.
- To keep records for accounting and tax, as the law requires.
- If you join our mailing list, to email you about new scents, restocks and OiLilin news.
- To understand which of our posts and ads bring people to the shop, so we can show them to more of the right people.
We will not send you marketing messages unless you ask us to, for example by joining the mailing list. You can ask us to remove you at any time, and we do not sell your information.
Who we share it with
- Our payment provider, to take your payment.
- Couriers, who need your name, address and phone number to deliver your parcel.
- Tools we use to run the shop, such as our order spreadsheet, our packing board and our website host. They store your order details for us only.
- Meta (Instagram and Facebook), which receives the website activity described above through the Meta Pixel. It does not receive your name, address or card details from us.
- Authorities, if the law requires us to.
Some of these services are based outside Malaysia, so your information may be stored or handled in other countries.
How long we keep it
We keep order records for as long as needed for accounting, tax and legal reasons, normally up to 7 years. After that we delete them.
Cookies and your bag
Our website saves your shopping bag in your browser so it is still there when you move between pages. If you visit through our Instagram or Facebook ads, the Meta Pixel may also set cookies in your browser to measure those ads.
Your choices
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where the law allows. Contact us using the details below and we will reply as soon as we can.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page.
